DESCRIPTION
A border fragment from a circular carpet that was perhaps originally part of a the suite of Lahore carpets that were woven to decorate the palace of Amer, built in 1630 for Rajah Jai Singh I (1622-1688). It is woven on a cotton foundation with lac dyed silk wefts.
