This seated figure representing a rice deity (bulul) from the Ifugao people of northern Luzon Island in the Philippines is an outstanding and highly expressive example of traditional anthropomorphic sculpture in the northern Philippines. This is an exceptionally elegant and sensitively carved example of large proportion at 25 inches in height.
