DESCRIPTION

Quilted Sleeping Kimono, Yogi

Indigo dyed Asa fiber on outside, stencil dyed cotton katazome interior lining

The triangular design on the sleeves is called shinsengumi and refers to a special security force established in the mid-19th century during the late Togukawa period.
This is a spectacular sculpture when displayed on a free standing armature.
